It seems like graphic tees and printed pants have been my goto lately. Even though I do consider my style pretty girly, I do like to switch it up every now and then for a different look. Fashion is all about having fun, right?

Hi friends!
Popping in with only one blog post this week! I decided to take a break and enjoy the long weekend away from my laptop. My boyfriend and I decided last minute to cancel our Charleston trip due to the weather being kind of iffy and had a staycation here in Charlotte. It was super relaxing and much needed! As relaxing the past weekend as I'm excited to jump back into the swing of things.
Today's outfit post gives me a lot of flashbacks to the type of clothes I used to wear growing up. During middle school, I thought I was a total fashionista and would only wear graphic tees. I would pair my shirts with bright colorful hoop earrings, neon scarfs, bright beaded necklaces, pretty much anything that was sold from Claire's.
As printed clothing items, I've always been a fan of fun prints. From colorful plaid capris to floral dresses to my now Lilly Pulitzer obsession, I guess you can say some things just don't change. I like to think my style has matured a bit since my graphic tee and neon colors stage, but it's always funny to look back on old pictures and see how certain style aspects remain the same.
When I first purchase these gingham pixie pants I had envisioned them styled primarily for work. As I mentioned several times on my blog, I am always trying to find ways to get multiple uses out of my pieces, especially now that I'm transitioning my wardrobe to be a little more workwear friendly. I love how you can easily take these pants from office-friendly with a cute blouse and heels to weekend outings with a simple graphic tee and sneakers like I've done here.
Gingham may be the unofficial print for summer, but can totally see myself pairing this with a fun chunky sweater for fall and winter. Fashion rules are meant to be broken, right?
What were your goto clothing pieces growing up? Let me know in the comments down below! I hope you all enjoyed the post and be sure to come back Monday for my round-up of the AFTER PARTY SALE! If you don't follow me on Instagram, the dates have been announced for the Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale which starts in-store THIS WEEKEND and ends September 11th.
