Hi friends!
I'm not sure if its because I took a small break from social media recently and have been out of the "fashion game" for a hot second or what it seems like the trends that are out this season, are on FIRE... is that just me??
If you do a quick scroll through my fashion posts you may notice I am drawn to the more classic pieces but every now and then I love incorporating new trends into my wardrobe. I'm not sure if it's due to my shorter hair, style influences in Florida or a combination of both, but lately, I feel like I've been drawn to slightly more "street fashion vibe" pieces (at least that's how I try to describe it in my head) and have been wanting to step out of my comfort zone more with clothing... I mean that's the fun of fashion, right?
Today I thought it'd be fun to do a roundup five trends I've been loving on the 'gram and am excited to try and incorporate into my wardrobe!
Camo
Okay, this may be a shock to some of you, especially those who know me in person since for the longest time I'm a huge anti camo print gal... but something about it this season I can't help but be drawn to it. I've been seeing camo print styled with oversized cozy sweaters and denim shirts that I am really excited to find the perfect camo piece to try my hand out on this trend. I think it'd be so fun to try and make it a little more girly looking with pairing it with some white lace or cozy chunky knits!
V-Neck Pinafores
Can someone please tell me the official name for these?? I have been seeing these EVERYWHERE and am obsessed with them. We all know I have a soft spot for overall dresses and think the deep v cut of these dresses are a fun twist to them!
Printed Pants
We all know I have a soft spot for prints and I've shared some fun printed pixie pants with you all on the blog before (like these fun elephant pair and these palm print pair!), but I really want to try and branch out of my comfort zone and try pants that are not on the fitted side... I'm looking at you comfy looking palazzo pants!
Tweed
Gimmie all the Jackie Kennedy vibes! Tweed has been filling up my Instagram feed lately and I'm all about it. I love the classic look of it and I've been seeing so many tweed sets on that. Tweed is such a classic and I can definitely see myself easily incorporating this into my wardrobe.
Statement Belts
Y'all don't hate me, but I'm diggin' the Gucci belts. Am I gonna drop some $$$$ on one? Heck no. Am I gonna try to find an affordable dupe to try the trend out because I think it's fun? You bet your pretty penny I am! I know these belts are super popular in the blogging world, but I really do think they are fun, and it doesn't necessarily have to be Gucci! I just love how statement belts have been making a come back later because I used to be all about them in high school. I'll keep you all posted on my hunt for finding a good dupe.
