Happy Wednesday friends!
I've always gotten comments at work and just from people in general that I always seem to be in a good mood or upbeat about things. What's my secret? I mean, it's not like I don't have bad days, because I certainly do as I have previously expressed in my previous blog posts venting on how discouraging blogging has been lately, but I will have to say that I have gotten better at bouncing back from bad days/moods/week a lot better than I have been.
I think what's really helped me go through all the highs and lows that life has been throwing at me lately is just changing my overall outlook on the situation. I have always considered myself to be a "glass half full" type of girl and I do think to have a more positive outlook on situations really does make your life a little bit better.
By no means do I think I'm holly jolly all day, every day because let's face it. We all have our bad days. We're human. But as long as you get back up from a bad day and start the next day on the right foot, then you're good to go.
For instance my work schedule. We've been pretty short-handed in both of my jobs and because of that, I have been added more hours to my schedule. Instead of moping around about having less free time on my hands, I think of it as an opportunity to get more hours and more $$$. I mean, why not take advantage of it now and try to make as much as possible? It's only short termed and your wallet will thank you.
I'm also a big believer that there's a reason for everything. I always take it as signs from the universe to guide you in the right direction or prevent you from potentially getting hurt. Could that be the real reason? Maybe not. But does it make certain situations a little bit better? Sure!
So next time someone cuts you off in traffic think of it as the universe is telling you to slow down before you get a speeding ticket. Or maybe you suddenly have a craving for a smoothie and decided to go out of your way to get one and see a "Now Hiring" sign on a local store, applied and received a phone call for an interview the next day (#truestory).
We may not know exactly what the reason may be right then, but eventually, we'll look back and see that everything panned out exactly how it should be.
Whew. That got really long-winded. Bottom line is, having a more positive outlook on life can help you get through those not so fun situations. So keep your head up, roll your shoulders back and take on life head-on with a latte in hand.
What helps you get through the lows in life? Let me know in the comments down below! I hope you all have a wonderful day and as always, thank you for reading!

Change your mindset, change your life.
