I hope you all are doing well! I think one of my favorite things to do is just walk around the city and admire all of the buildings. I’ve said many times that I’m from a very small town and so living in Charlotte was a bit of shock for me. Sometimes I'm still surprised at myself that I managed to learn how to drive on the interstate and am living in the city after growing up in such a small town.
I think one of my favorite things about Charlotte is that it’s a perfect size. I’ve grown up visiting Atlanta and my family is originally from Philadelphia which is both major busy cities. Even though I love the rush and fast pace of city life, I also love the aspect of relaxed small town life and I think Charlotte has both of those aspects. I always joke with my friends and say that Charlotte is the city that sleeps vs cities such as New York.
Another thing I love about Charlotte is all the small neighborhoods that surround the area. RJ and I visited Fourth Ward a couple months ago (which is where these photos were taken!) and I just loved seeing all of the old restored colorful houses. Walking around made me forget that we were even in Uptown Charlotte. I could go on and on about what I love about Charlotte, but those are just a few of the things.
