Long time no Pink Talks post, am I right? The last one I shared with you all was over 2 months ago and I have had so much going on since then! Let’s not waste any more time and jump into what I’ve been up to!
Happy Friday friends!
I feel like it’s been a hot second since I did a Pink Talks post. I’m pretty sure the last one I shared with you all was me graduating college! It’s crazy that I’m already two and half months into post grad life. If you want to stay up to date with me on what I’ve been up to, be sure to follow me on Instagram! I post a ton on Insta stories and you’re always the first to know what I’ve been up to. I have lots to update you all on so let’s just jump right into it!
What I’ve been up to…
4th of July: South East Fireworks Show
This past 4th of July RJ and I met up with some friends in Uptown to watch the firework show in Romere Bearden park. I’ve actually spent my past 3 4th of July’s in Charlotte, but have yet to watch the show in the park. I LOVE fireworks and the show was just beautiful. Def recommend going to see it next year if you’re in the Charlotte area!
Charlotte bucket list
Even though I’m still staying in Charlotte for a little longer until I find a more permanent full-time job, RJ is moving back to our hometown in the end of August. Even though the thought of his move out date makes us both really sad, we’re trying to make the most of it! We put together a little Charlotte bucket list that we want to complete while the both of us are still in Charlotte. Here’s what we’ve completed so far:
If you all are in the Charlotte area and haven’t visited Fourth Ward yet, DO IT. Fourth Ward is located in Uptown Charlotte and is home to old restored Victorian houses. RJ and I took a stroll through it one Sunday and did some blog photos there and it was just beautiful! I loved seeing all of the colorful houses.
Eating Brunch at Peculiar Rabbit
Fun fact, we actually took RJ here on his 21st birthday… I’ll just leave it at that. Haha! We found out that they had brunch here and been wanting to go back to try it out. The food was so good and the views were just as nice. We actually tried a bloody mary while we were there and I don’t think either one of us was a fan. We’re definitely mimosa people.

Getting Ice Cream at Ninety's
I had heard about this ice cream place in the University Area a while back and have been dying to go ever since. This place is a sweet tooth lover’s dream! It’s home to the original cookie dough pop and now it features a new hot item, the Yum Yum bun! This magical creation consists of a glazed donut cut in half filled with ice cream and served warm. We tried a Twix cookie dough pop and a Captain Crunch Macaroon ice cream sandwich during our visit but will definitely have to go back to try the Yum Yum Bun!

I MOVED
You all are probably tired of me talking about this, but I MOVED. I moved out of my first apartment that I stayed in for 3 years in college this past Sunday and it was so bittersweet. I had shared my room tour with you all on the blog last week and it’s so sad to see what my bedroom use to look like. Even though this whole experience is sad, I’m ready to open my next adventure with open arms.
Recent purchases…
Ok, confession. In an attempt to save money I made it my goal this month to not buy any unnecessary purchases. I kinda slipped and purchased 2 items, but to be fair one of them was justified because I figured I can wear it to work!
Pink Tie Front Blouse (on sale!)
The one and probably only purchase I made during the Nordstrom Anniversary sale was this darling pink bow front blouse! It’s so girly that I just couldn’t pass it up. If you follow me on Instagram then you may have to my story that I had gone in store to try a few things on during the first day of public access. Unfortunately, almost everything I wanted to try on was sold out and the pieces I loved were out of my budget. Overall I am excited to start wearing this blouse out and think it would be so fun for date night!
I had visited the J.Crew Factory store this past weekend and I had immediately fallen in love with this white ruffle sleeved blouse. Most of you all know by now, but I do have to wear black and white at my part time job and anytime I find a white blouse that I can wear to work I automatically think it’s ok to purchase it (probably a bad mentality, but yah know we all can’t be perfect.. haha!). I love how I can easily tuck this into a black skirt for work or pair it with a fun pair of Lilly shorts for play! I think I will definitely get a lot of wear out of this top and it was a plus that it was on sale for $29 and I managed to get 15% off with my student ID!
WHEW. That was a long one am I right? I hope you all are doing well and let me know what you’ve been up to in the comments down below! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and as always, thank you for reading!
Xoxo,
Amy
