It's funny that I'm putting together this post because I'm actually in the process of moving out of my apartment but I know this is the season where most people are starting to move into their new apartments.
Happy Tuesday friends!
I think the one thing I am most excited about potentially getting a new space of my own one day is having to decorate it! If you all didn't know, the past 3 years of college I lived with 3 roommates and didn't really get to decorate the entire apartment as my own. Today I'm sharing some of my favorite places to find apartment decor! Also, stay tuned to the end of the post for an exciting giveaway!
Nordstrom
When I think of Nordstrom I usually think of cute dresses and tops, but not apartment decor. Lately, I've been browsing their site and they have so many cute things! I am in love with their selection of barware, they're so quirky and fun! If Nordstrom is a little too pricey for you, then try checking out Nordstrom Rack! They have lots of reasonably priced items. Also, if you all didn't know (which I'm sure many of you already do...) the Nordstrom Anniversary sale is currently going on right now which makes it the perfect time to snatch up some goodies for a great price!
Marshalls / TJ Maxx / Home Goods
AKA the holy place. I love getting pieces from these places and they are easy on the wallet as well. I always get my wall decor and storage pieces from here. Marshalls / TJ Maxx also is my go-to place for those thin velvet hangers! You can get like 15 for $9.99! They save so much room in your closet and look better in my opinion.
Target
What doesn't target have? They always come out with the cutest doormats and I low key want to buy them all every time I see them. If you have a super girly or quirky taste like I do, try checking out the kid's section. I swear kid's room decor nowadays are SO CUTE. Where was this when I was 8 years old? Like unicorn head mount? Yes, pleas!
Etsy
Want the DIY feel but not super crafty? Check out Etsy! You can find almost anything on there! From Lilly inspired painted canvas, to door wreaths to one of a kind tapestry, surely you'll find something to fit right into your new space.
Anthropologie
OKIE, I know Anthropologie is not exactly the most wallet-friendly place, but they do have so many cute home decor pieces if you're wanting to splurge. I also just like walking around there to get some inspiration for similar items or even DIY them myself!
Francesca's
Francesca's is usually another place I tend to overlook for decor pieces. I always go in there for their cute printed dresses, but always end up browsing through all of their decor items when I'm done trying my clothing pieces on. From sassy canvases to quirky wine glasses, they have it all to give your space some personality!
IKEA
IKEA is pretty much a no brainer when you think of places to shop for an apartment or home pieces, but why not throw it into the list? They have super affordable pieces and plus, it's just fun to walk around the store get inspiration!
Amazon
Basically, you can just shop for all of your needs on Amazon if you want (and if you have 2-day shipping... why not??). I like to get my bigger pieces such as a mattress topper, on Amazon because... #lazy #conveinece #teamnomuscle
Charming Charlie
For little trinkets like jewelry dishes, cute elephant ring holders, or a bell to ring for more champagne then you need to check out Charming Charlie! Super affordable and will def brighten up any space.
Modcloth
Modcloth has the cutest selection of quirky and vintage decor pieces. Right now they have so many cute stuffed animal items (I know, I'm like 5 years old...) that I low key think I need to add to my collection.
Forever 21
From unicorn lights to metallic pillows, Forever 21 is worth checking out if you want some fun decor pieces. I got a pink macaroon pillow from there a couple years ago and have loved it since!
Urban Outfitters
Just like Anthropologie, Urban isn't the most budget-friendly place to shop for decor items, but they do have so many cute options. I would recommend keeping an eye out on their sale section.
Dollar Tree
Dollar Tree is a college student's best friend. I typically get all of my cheap picture frames from there and end up printing off or water coloring photos to put in them. To take it a step further you could always spray paint them gold to make them look a little less cheap!
