Happy Friday friends!
I hope you all are doing well! As promised, I'm sharing a recap of my birthday with you all. I had such a fun time celebrating my birthday with my friends and my heart is so full with all the kind words and love from everyone.
My birthday started off with a phone call at midnight from Insomnia Cookies. Turns out my brother had ordered me a cookie cake and it was such a fun surprise! The cookie was delicious and such a great way to kick off my birthday!
If you didn't know, I'm HUGE on homemade gifts. RJ was sweet enough to make me my own board game that was stocked with prizes. It was such a sweet gift and a creative way to give me my gifts.
Birthday dinner at Vivace
RJ and I headed out to Vivace for my birthday dinner. I had always wanted to try it out and thought my birthday would be the perfect opportunity. We took advantage of the beautiful day and grabbed a patio seat which was perfect because we were able to dog watch the entire time! RJ and I had originally planned on going to Vivace to split a mushroom pizza (pictured above!) since we were both on a budget, but little did I know that he had something up his sleeve.
During our dinner, RJ started to order several more entrees for us and even though I am always in the mood for more food, I was starting to worry about how we could afford all of it. At the end of the night, after our waiter packed up all of our leftovers, our waiter came out and presented us with two desserts and said "happy birthday." Our waiter also dropped off a birthday card for me and said there was an extra special surprise in there for me. I opened the card and there was a gift card from RJ's family and a note that they had paid for our dinner (keep in mind that his family lives 4 hours away from us!).
It was such a sweet surprise and I started crying (which low key isn't a huge surprise because I cry a lot.. haha!). My dad always had this rule where we can't cry on our birthdays, but I'm sure tears of joy is an exception. Definitely, goes down as one of the best birthday surprises ever!
Birthday night out
Friday night a few of my friends and I headed out to celebrate my birthday in Uptown! It was so fun to dance the night away and I managed to "win" some money from Whisky River's balloon drop that night! It was such a fun way to celebrate my Taylor Swift year!
Also, not pictured: Cara of Caralina Style. Funny thing is that we had matching earrings a clutch and we both wore a romper! We have this continuing problem of always matching when we're together!
And that's what I've been up to! It was such a great birthday and it was so fun to celebrate with all of my friends. I felt so loved and am so lucky to have so many great people in my life. Again, thank you again for all of you who took the time to wish me a happy birthday, it was so sweet! I hope you all have a great Friday and as always, thank you for reading!
