Happy Monday friends!
I'm just going to jump right into today's blog post because I'm so excited to share some exciting news with you all! So I know recently I started introducing you all to RJ, the one who takes all of my blog photos, but what I haven't shared is that RJ is also a musician! Yes ma'am (or sir) he is not only talented with a camera, but also super talented in music as well.
The reason why I'm sharing this little bit about RJ today is because today his new album Placebo releases! The exciting news doesn't stop there friends, I'm also on the album! Bet ya didn't know I sang right? Me either.
I was able to sing a small part in his song "Lift Off." In honor of his album dropping today and "my" song being on that album, I thought it would be fun to do an outfit inspired by it. The song "Lift Off", along with many of the songs on his album, is space themed. To go with the space theme I searched all over Pinterest for the perfect DIY galaxy clothing item I could create to be my statement piece for my outfit. I finally decided on creating a pair of galaxy shoes (DIY can be found here!) and think they turned out AWESOME. It was pretty time consuming, but I think it was well worth it. The DIY was pretty simple and I really think anyone can do it. It's pretty fool proof and it's totally fine if you mess up because just like anything in nature, space isn't perfect.
To bring out the blue in the shoes I paired them with my blue skater skirt and my favorite cat inspired tee shirt (also styled here!). RJ also has another song on his album titled "Astro Cats" which I guess you can say this outfit was based off of.
I would love for you all to not only check out the song "Lift Off" but all the other amazing songs on RJ's new album. Let me know what you all think and hope you all enjoy learning a little bit more about "Mr. Camera man! (;"
